Are you guys kidding me on the instructions on how to unbox the gateway?! where is a video about interconnecting it to a keyboard and Monitor and where are the cables for that? And all these outdated ports no one uses anymore. Much cheaper equipment comes with more instruction than this and with some graphics. Worthless video!

Why does this require a 3rd party plugin for Cisco Unified Communications Manager? Should be built in as standard.

Our facility just installed Cisco 7800 series. Will InformaCast work with these models?

why does this only work with Cisco phones?
Hi Phil, it can work with other phone systems, but there will be some differences in functionality. First, InformaCast notification system will not send broadcasts to non-Cisco phones. InformaCast will send a mass notification to computer desktops, digital signage, analog overhead paging systems, InformaCast-compatible IP speakers, e-mail and mobile phones (via InformaCast Mobile). To trigger a mass notification from a non-Cisco phone system, a SIP trunk must be configured between the phone system and InformaCast. Also, the CallAware feature for 911 alerting will only work on Cisco phone systems. Other than these differences, customers can still use InformaCast Advanced to solve the use cases of intruder alerts, automated emergency weather notification, panic buttons, internet of things integration and more. If I used the Basic Paging features that comes with the Cisco BE6000, can I still use the Pusch-to-talk button on the Wireless phone to initiate the paging service to other groups ?. or do I have to purchase the Advance License to associate the Push-To-Talk button(on the phone) with any of the Informacast Application services ? In other words, does any of the stuff you demonstrated here work with the Basic Paging license that comes pre-bundled with the BE6K offering ? Thanks
